What ReBout is
ReBout is a gallery for fencing replays. People who record matches upload video clips and label them with match details — including the names of the fencers on the piste.
What we store
- Account data — name, email and an optional avatar for people who register to upload or comment.
- Match metadata — fencer names, clubs, countries, scores and event details, entered by the person who recorded the match.
- Video clips — the recorded exchanges themselves, plus thumbnails.
Who can see what
Recordings are private by default. The uploader decides whether a match or clip becomes unlisted (link-only) or public. Public content appears on the home page, in Explore and on event pages, and fencer names from public matches can appear in search filters and link previews.
Fencer names never become standalone public profiles, and we do not link fencer names to user accounts.
Your name on ReBout
If you appear in a recording and want your name corrected or hidden, ask us below. We can:
- Hide your name — it is replaced with “Hidden fencer” everywhere public, and stops being offered in search filters.
- Remove your content from public view — matches and clips featuring you disappear from all public pages and existing share links stop working.
- Correct a misspelled name.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track you across sites.
Ask for a correction or removal
Tell us the name as it appears on ReBout and what you would like changed. An email address helps us follow up, but is optional.
